After reading and analyzing the articles that I pick, I have realized that school shootings have the biggest effect on gun control. After parkland multiple states, republican and democrat decided to create new, and revise their gun laws with bipartisan support. The strategy of school shootings creates an environment that put aside political agendas and make people look at the bigger problem. One article I read, CNN stated that the NRA after parkland wasn't against all gun control laws. I think this is a sign that when it matters our county comes together and does what's right.
Another thing that I learned from my reading is that scientists and researchers don't really know the reason that causes people to commit such violent crimes like school shootings. These crimes are commonly related to mental disability because it is an easier way for citizens, or victims to understand why that just happened instead of really thinking about what just happened to them. Society often blames the parents or events that happened to the person responsible, but really no one knows the exact reason why these things happen.
